Moderate Portfolio
Investment Objective
The Moderate Portfolio's primary investment objective is to seek long-term capital appreciation. As a secondary objective and to the extent consistent with its primary investment objective, the Moderate Portfolio seeks current income.
Principal Investment Strategies
Under normal market conditions, the Moderate Portfolio will invest approximately 60% of its total assets in equity securities and approximately 40% of its total assets in fixed income securities. The Moderate Portfolio can invest up to 80% of its total assets in equity securities and up to 60% of its total assets in fixed income securities. Additionally, the Moderate Portfolio can invest up to 50% of its total assets in securities of non-U.S. issuers including investments in emerging markets.
