Conservative Portfolio
Investment Objective
The Conservative Portfolio's primary investment objective is to seek preservation of capital and current income. As a secondary objective and to the extent consistent with its primary investment objective, the Conservative Portfolio seeks capital appreciation.
Principal Investment Strategies
Under normal market conditions, the Conservative Portfolio will invest approximately 65% of its total assets in fixed income securities and cash and approximately 35% of its total assets in equity securities. The Conservative Portfolio can invest up to 100% of its total assets in fixed income securities and up to 50% of its total assets in equity securities. The Conservative Portfolio can invest up to 40% of its total assets in securities of non-U.S. issuers including investments in emerging markets.
